RH (Residential, High Density) District
The RH zoning district is intended for multifamily development such as apartments and condominiums. RH zoned properties are located along major collector and arterial roads, adjacent to neighborhood-serving land uses such as grocery stores, and near employment centers. The allowable density range is 15 to 22 dwelling units per gross developable acre.
Solano County is the most northernly county of the nine counties in the Bay Area. It is located close to the East Bay and Sacramento allowing for access to both.
The 2010 census had a population of 413,344 people in the county, but estimates forecast it has grown closer to 447,000 people currently. The area is a mix of great suburban areas with lots of restaurants, shopping, outdoor activities, waterfront areas, good schools, and reasonable housing costs.
The county is a strong job node of the total Bay Area. It has employers that include Travis Air Force Base, Genentech, Anheuser-Busch, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Jelly Belly, and Kaiser. The companies are taking advantage of UC Davis' strong educational system to provide a steady stream of employees. Residents can easily access the amenities of the Bay Area and the Napa valley wine region.
